No Sooner Loved - a snippet

And so the romance between Justyn and Nathan has come to its first milestone. Here's a small excerpt from my Work In Progress (WIP).

“There, done. Well, with that chapter, anyway.”
  “May I read it?”
She looked up at him, slightly startled at the question. “You want to?”

“If it’s all right with you, yes. I know it’s not polished yet but I really would like to. May I?”
She looked down at her screen, then back at his earnest face. Writing for her was more than just a way to exercise her mind. She used her writing to explore possibilities, play out fantasies that she could never have lived. She used it to work through her problems, sort out her feelings. Not all of her writing was as personal but there was always something in it that was hers and hers alone. To share that meant to cede control to that part of her soul, her mind. For someone who was a control freak to the end, that was a large leap of faith and not one she surrendered willingly to anyone.
Nathan watched her, waiting with such hope. This would be her moment of truth, the acid test of how she really felt about him. She looked deep into his sapphire blue eyes, searching behind them to find out what kind of man he truly was. He could be polite and charming, erudite and urbane. He shared her interests in music and dancing, classic literature, and romantic movies. He was witty and sexy with a perverse sense of humor, a lovable dork and a very tall child stuck in a man’s body. Could she trust him? Was he serious? Or just playing with her? Old fashioned, he’d said. Not gay, he’d said. He wouldn't sleep with her because he respected her, he’d said. And exactly what the hell did that mean?
If she pushed, she could drive him away. If she didn't, he might think that she wasn't interested and leave anyway. If she expressed what she was feeling about him, her intense affection, she ran the risk of scaring him – they’d only known each other for one weekend, two weeks ago. But if she didn't, he might think she didn't care.
It came down to trust. He seemed to know it, too. He watched her, waiting hopefully, his eyes never leaving hers. He had to know what was at stake. The ball was in neither court now, sitting on top of the net. It could fall either way.

More as they come. I hope you're enjoying these snippets.

Thor's...No, LOKI'S DAY!

The family, my Beautiful Boy, and I are going out tomorrow night to see Thor: The Dark World. And I know it's Thor's Day and I should be posting a picture of Chris Hemsworth. Maybe tomorrow. Tonight -- my other Beautiful Boy, Tom Hiddleston.

Let's hear it for Team Loki --

Oh he is so sexy like this. The bluest of blue eyes, the hair is the perfect length and blown back, and that goatee. Prrrrr! I wonder if he likes threesomes.

It's Moon Day, ladies!

I think a full moon is certainly appropriate for the day; don't you?

And a glorious one, they are. If you'll excuse me, I believe someone is waiting for me.

Nothing like a beautiful man!

Someone sent me this picture in an email and I almost wet myself. I think I've developed a small -- no, make that LARGE -- crush on Ian Somerhalder. I've started watching The Vampire Diaries just so I can stare at him and drool openly. Although, the Beautiful Boy thinks me a bit daft for the crush, he does love the show. See? Everyone wins.

Isn't he beautiful?

He has that look that says, "I want you...right now. Get unclothed before I rip them from your body. And I will have my way with you."

Prrrrr...he can have his way with me anytime. Even the biting.

With love,
Siobhan
